How Do I Use the Page Translation as a Contextual Filter in a View?

I have a Products content type and I've setup a a Product Markets vocabulary which allows me to specify the markets individual products are available in (Europe, North America, etc.)

Each Product Market has a field for Market Language, which allows me to specify which translations apply to a given market (example: fr-fr, it-it are both associated with the European market.

My intent is to setup a block using a view that detects which translation the user is looking at, and show a listing of featured products that are available in the market associated with the language for the page containing the block.

I assume I need to use the contextual filters to somehow get the language of the page containing the block, but I've been beating my head against a wall trying to figure this out for almost a day. Any assistance would be appreciated.
