Mouse Pointer Size/Color/shape Change

I'm fairly new to Linux but not computing in general and can't find what seems to be a fairly common appearance setting. I'd like change the color of my mouse pointer, perhaps it's size and maybe even it's shape (like a bullseye or something clever). I use dark themes when I can preserve my eyes so I was hoping for at least something a little "glowy", iridescent like a gun sight. I just installed Ubuntu 20.04 Mate a week ago. I've poked around on here and found an ancient post telling me to:

sudo apt install dconf-editor [email protected]:~$ sudo apt-get install dconf-tools Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done

E: Unable to locate package dconf-tools*

Must be an outdated program. Any suggestions?
