Ctrl+alt+m does not work anymore

I am having a weird issue: My notebook is running Ubuntu 18.04 for over an year now. It has am external keyboard attached to it.

I use the Ctrl+Alt+M shortcut now an then, but today I noticed that it is not working anymore.

Facts: - This shortcut does not work when using the external keyboard. - With this keyboard, all keys (ctrl, alt and M) work separately and also together (ctrl+m, alt+m, and so on), but ctrl+alt+m does not - Using the same keyboard, ctrl+alt+<anyotherkey> works - ctrl+alt+m works when I use the notebook keyboard

I usually need it when using intellij, but I tried in the terminal, where ctrl+alt+n gives me something like ^[N, ctrl+alt+m does nothing.

I plugged the keyboard direct in the notebook (it was connected through a docking station), I restarted the computer and so on, but nothing happened.

Is there anything I can do to diagnose what is happening?
