Windows 'Dual Boot Up' hanging on Try Ubuntu

I'm using Windows 10 with NVIDIA graphics on ASUS and trying to dual boot Ubuntu for hours now. This is my first time understanding different operating systems so I hope I'm doing my best to explain.

I've reformatted and partitioned a USB with the .iso Ubuntu file and in BIOS I boot up the USB with "Try Ubuntu" to consistently meet with a black screen.

The things I've tried are rewriting 'quick splash' into 'nomodeset'. I'm unsure how to progress from here.
