rdp with dual monitors on chromebook

I have an external monitor connected to a chromebook.

Is it possible to run an RDP connection that uses both screens?

I can do it on a windows system. (The windows rdp client can automatically span across all connected monitors, even when there are no monitors connected to the host machine)

Options I have tried: Chrome remote desktop: Only allows one screen at a time Teamviewer: The windows version has the option to use two monitors. The Chrome OS version however only allows to switch between the screens or show both host screens on a single client monitor.

Is there some way to do it? It is a must have for me. I am already considering to sell the chromebook again and to get a low cost windows laptop to use as a thin client instead.
