I'm trying to find the intersection point of a straight line y = x - 3 and hyperbola y = 3/x.

This can obviously be solved by graphing both equations, but is there a way to solve for such intersection points in other ways?

I tried substituting one equation to the other, but it appears tedious to find the solution this way, at least for this particular pair of equations.
