From equation (1) we get

$$x=11-\sqrt{y}$$ and we get

$$\sqrt{11-\sqrt{y}}=7-y$$ now we can substitute $$\sqrt{y}=a$$ and you will get

$$\sqrt{11-a}=7-a^2$$ Can you proceed?
