# Solving ODE via numerical integration

I am trying to (numerically) solve an ODE of the form

$$\frac{dg}{dx} = \frac{\Big (f(x) - g(x) \Big ) \times g(x)}{\beta}$$

Where $$f(x)$$ and $$\beta$$ are known. In reality, $$f(x)$$ is a time series and I want to develop the corresponding time series $$g(x)$$. Similar work was done in this paper but I'm struggling to set this problem up to solve in e.g. R's deSolve package. Can anyone assist?
