How to explain variance in SEM?

by Vyas   Last Updated October 11, 2018 15:19 PM

I am writing a paper discussion based on SEM findings to a non-statistical audience. For example, how do we explain the concept of R-square (variance) in plain language -- 'The model rationalizes a significant proportion of 88.10% in motivation (R-square:0.881) and 59.31 % in self-efficacy (R-square:0.5931)?'

Thank you
