how to setup a VPN (OpenVPN) at home in USA with Linksys E4200 for coming trip to China?

I have a Linksys E4200 wireless router with OpenVPN capacity. I am planning a trip to China where many sites are blocked, including Google and youtube. So I am thinking setup a VPN for my trip because those sites are important for me to get information helping me to get work done.

I never tried this before. I can find some information online but there are something still not clear to me:

  1. I don't have a static ip address from my internet provider, RCN. But as long as I know my dynamic ip address at the time I want to connect to my home from China, I should be able to connect to my VPN sever at home. Is this correct?

  2. China may not allow private VPN by blocking ip addresses or port numbers. Do I need to do any unusual configurations on the VPN server to avoid this? if yes, how?

  3. With the Linksys E4200, I don't need another running machine as the VPN server. is this correct?. Can I access those blocked sites, like Google, with this setting?

thanks,

EDIT:

I am self-employed. So this is also can be viewed as a business matter. If it is still not fit, could you please move it to Super User for me?
